Woman centred support

A cancer diagnosis is hugely impactful on women’s lives, affecting not only daily health, but also fertility, sexuality, menopause, and relationships. For any of us facing one of these cancers, there is often a sense of embarrassment and a loss of autonomy over our lives and bodies. GRACE is here to support all women with gynaecological cancers in Surrey, West Sussex, and Hampshire, from diagnosis to treatment, and beyond. To do this, we offer women in our network free access to:

  • Enrichment events and peer networks that connect women who may share similar lived experiences
  • One to one and group counseling services for women and their loved ones
  • Group therapeutic peer group sessions

Please review our full offer of support services and events below and get in touch with one of the team if you would like to register for more information.

Access our free counselling service

The GRACE one-to-one counselling service, which also includes access to peer group support, is available for free to all women, their partners, and families, who are impacted by gynaecological cancer – at any stage from diagnosis, through treatment or beyond. If you or someone you know would benefit from this, please either ask your CNS to refer you or you can self-refer online here by emailing: support@grace-charity.org.uk

Join our group therapeutic peer groups and meet others sharing a similar experience

GRACE’s new counselling service is also running scheduled therapeutic peer group sessions. We are running two groups from different locations in Guildford and Redhill, where women can meet for one hour every Friday, in a safe space facilitated by a qualified counsellor and will have an element of therapeutic value. The group will be led by its members and will be a space to have a cuppa and share and offload any issues relating to your diagnosis.

The GRACE peer group sessions are available only to women who have been diagnosed with gynaecological cancer. The group sessions are suitable for anyone who wants to meet others with similar lived experiences and discuss this together in a group session with the support of a trained and professional counsellor.
