GRACE is delighted to announce the launch of a new service to provide dedicated and professional counselling support to women, their partners, and children, following news of a gynaecological cancer diagnosis.

The service, which will be going live later this month, is free to access and can be done so at any point following a diagnosis, and beyond into treatment and post recovery. It has been developed in direct response to the feedback and input we’ve had with women who have lived experience.

Initially launched as a pilot programme, our fundraising efforts will be focused on ensuring that we can maintain the service beyond this initial stage.

Simon Butler-Manuel, the founder of GRACE and Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology at the Royal Surrey County Hospital: “The team at GRACE are delighted for this project to come fruition, so we can offer professional counselling support to women, their partners, and children, following a gynae cancer diagnosis.

“The service has been developed in response to feedback and input from women who have been treated for, or affected by, gynae cancers themselves, and that of our dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS). We look forward to providing more updates on this in the future as the service is rolled out across the Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire areas.”
